Sanctuary Acres Boxer Rescue, located in southwest Virginia, was started in 2010 and it was originally open to all breeds.

We changed our name from Sanctuary Acres Dog Rescue when we applied for our 501c3 status, but we do not limit ourselves to any one breed. If the occasion should arise that a dog other than a boxer is in need of rescue, our arms are open wide. Deaf, Seniors and those with special needs are always welcome.

A day in the life of our dog rescue may consist of:

Transporting a recent rescue, oftentimes hours of travel from shelter or surrender to foster or boarding
A thorough assessment of a recently rescued dog
A visit to the veterinarian
Training
Socializing with other animals
Daily runs and long walks
Vetting potential adopters
Arranging home checks & meet and greet
Networking!!!

Four Paws Auction/Fundraiser

Sanctuary Acres Boxer Rescue is the home of Four Paws Auction/Fundraiser online group. We bridge the gap between families in need of help with their precious babies and participating group members. It’s a place to find great items, new and used, knowing that with every sale we are saving a life or meeting the needs of someone's precious pet.

In order to assist animals in need of emergency medical care, we host online auctions for one pet at a time. The funds raised will be paid directly to the veterinarian's office charged with the care and treatment of the pet.

We have established a wishlist on Amazon to facilitate members wishing to donate to Four Paws. Through our sales and support we will change the life of one baby at a time.
